Moroccan cuisine being my most favorite, so my expectation with the food and ambience was really high. I would say the food is phenomenal, tajine was the recommendation so went with it. The meat was so tender and the flavor was great. The ambience really cool, gives the touch of Moroccan restaurants and the souvenirs around the restaurant are pretty cool to watch. I loved the over all experience. Excellent and quick service. It hardly took them few minutes to get my order on the table. Definitely recommending this place
Absolutely astonishing tangier lamb was falling off the bone and floating in the most spectacularly savory broth, sweet smiling service even though I was the first customer of the day and walked in as soon as they opened the door! Minty lemonade was fresh and paired perfectly with the lamb
Excellent food and service. Glad to be back with Najia and family at their wonderful restaurant. Back after many years in this Moroccan ambience. First time after COVID. More folks need to come here. They deserve your visit. This is one of the best Moroccan restaurants in Portland.
So I grew up in Brooklyn New York and I was surrounded by tons of middle eastern food. I definitely know what to look for. This place is beyond amazing. family owned. Mom cooks all the food and their children help. I got the mix plate and it was ridiculously delicious. The rice tasted like my mom made it. The chicken shawarma was so good. The beef kebab was amazing as well and I’m sure the lamb is good but I don’t like lamb so I got double chicken. Wow was it amazing! The house bread is insane as well. I’ll be back.
I’m surprised that this place isn’t WAY busier! The food was absolutely amazing — I got the vegetarian mezza plate, which has many little dips and things to nibble on. I especially loved the small ‘rice wrapped in grape leaves’ that was included on my plate. I brought home a sandwich order from here for my sister and she said it was beyond amazing. We will definitely be back! Beautiful little restaurant.
Quite possibly the best falafel I've ever had! Miriam was so helpful in offering great suggestions. Definitely a hidden gem that pairs a cozy atmosphere accompanied with delicious flavors!. Highly recommend for any occasion
Delicious! Best service and every dish is so flavorful. The veg mezza has all our favorite things including zaatar pizza! Highly recommend the Zaalouk. And the mujadara is the best we’ve had. The Greek salad is excellent with wonderful feta and olives. And foul is one of our favorite dishes and Tangiers is perfect! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order. Wonderful family owned and run restaurant!
Authentic Moroccan food!! Every dish tasted just like home, staff was lovely and super nice :) will definetly be back
